In 2010 a friend turned me onto wine. Here is a chronicle of what has turned into a bit of an obsession, on a very, very tight budget.

An odd one to finish the night, but when a neighbor offers a glass, I don’t turn it away. This Rideau Vineyard 2009 Estate Roussanne had me confused at first. Generally I like stoney whites, this came on thick with a coating of honey and ripe stone fruit, but the back end settled down and didn’t make me feel like I had to many candy bars at the end of the day. Didn’t check the ACL, but you don’t feel the heat. Ignorance is bliss.
