In 2010 a friend turned me onto wine. Here is a chronicle of what has turned into a bit of an obsession, on a very, very tight budget.

Drunk; Marr Cellars 2008 Old Vine Zinfandel. We polished off some spicy pork sausage marinara, a pepperoni pizza and this Zin the last couple of nights. The rich red fruits (think dark cherries) and peppery finish (especially on nite two) made a nice companion for the food and listening to ball games in the dark. I had a hell of a time finding info about it, but I picked it up at Solano Cellars for about 12 bucks.
