Signature Kirkland. That’s right. I was skeptical too. My neighbor poured me a glass, doesn’t say a word and just says “try it!”. Well okay. Good. Nose is warm, maybe a bit sweet. Staring to think I might have some french chard in the glass. Taste, well, it opens up with some bright mineral and sweet citrus tones. The sweetness carries but finishes clean with more acid that cuts away at the sweetness and all of the sudden I am bumbling something about French this or that and my neighbor has a shit eating grin and pulls out this 2010 Ti Point Sav Blanc from Marlborough. And even more importantly, it’s from from freakin’ Costco. Impressive and not utterly surprising.
